Timothy Jeter and Ranma Kurotsuki had a meeting after Episode 3 to discuss the actions of Johnny R. Royle. It was decided they would stand firm and refuse to grant him a match until he is officially cleared medically. They will not be punishing him, as they feel continuing to not book him is punishment enough.
In good news for Royle, he miraculously escaped being set on fire with nary a mark on him! His t-shirt and burlap mask protected him from any serious burns, leaving him with just his foot to worry about for now.
Donovan O'Reily was not so lucky. Early on in the main event he suffered a nasty electrical shock from the electrified Christmas lights. He continued like a real trooper, though the Death March coddles no man. In the end Michael Kane capitalized and took the Suicide Soldier title from O'Reily. Suffering burns as well as the shock, Donovan will not be wrestling on the next episode of Bloody Paradise, but we wish him a speedy recovery. A title shot awaits your return, soldier!
In title tournament news, Michael Kane, Erik Grimsson and "Barbed Wire" Ken advanced in the Top Tier of the Three Gates of Hell tournament. Their various opponents will enter the Middle Tier in the second round, which will commence once all first round matches are completed. In the Widow's Web tournament the two round robin brackets have been finalized. In Bracket A are Talia Wichzini, Ashlyn Summers and Ashley Brooks, while Bracket B consists of Natalie Olson, Nina Grimsson and Andrea Kristian.
Rumors persist of a tag team division being in the works. While PJG has been on the look out for team prospects word is that the search has not gone well so far. Still, a tag team match for Erik and Chad Grimsson is a possible addition to Episode 4 if opponents can be found on time.
Dylan Atwater and Dazz have been officially put on hiatus. The company has not cut ties with these men, however it's been made clear the ball is in their court and if they wish future bookings they will have to take the initiative. This move is also considered a warning to the talent that when new workers are starting to line up to join Paradise, it's not a good idea to look like an open roster spot!
Ranma Kurotsuki made a comment on his MySpace blog that Sendai was full of exciting talent, "Such as 'Barbed Wire' Ken for example" who would be plenty willing to travel back and forth between Japan and America to compete in both sister Jisatsu promotions if, "I have to save this company from failing like previous incarnations."
The Other Side of Wrestling awards were announced this afternoon, with Paradise Jisatsu Group and it's female roster picking up quite a few mentions! Timothy Jeter was very pleased and said, "I'm glad to be getting some positive press!" Obviously referring to the on-going issues with the NAACP. He continued, "I'm gonna see what I can do about making sure all those women get some kind of bonus, that's for sure." Nina Grimsson tops the honors list with nine separate placings, just edging out Talia Wichzini who received eight!
After their meeting with "The Caretaker" James Goodwin-Rice, which took place just prior to Bloody Paradise 3, PJG management was said to be very displeased. Rumor has it that, when asked what success he's had curbing Kian Konga's current instability, the old man hung his head and replied "Thus far I have no significant progress to report." This response was completely unsatisfactory in the eyes of Paradise's top officials and lead to the cancellation of a special appearance Konga was scheduled to fulfill that night in the arena. It's also speculated that management was hesitant to book Kian for this upcoming card as well, for fear of an incident similar to what took place at Bloody Paradise 2 but their hands were tied. Kian, who has marveled the fans and quickly become a top draw, will be scheduled to fight despite the apparent risks. PJG brass have made it exceptionally clear in the past what the consequences will be should there be another outburst, and that stance is not likely to waver.
